OVERVIEW OF BID – RFB #2026-003

Battery Electric Forklift 
LOGISTEC is seeking qualified equipment manufacturers and suppliers to express their interest in providing a Battery Electric Forklift for operations at the Port of Cleveland. This initiative supports the Port of Cleveland’s ongoing efforts to modernize operations and advance lower-emission, sustainable terminal equipment.

Equipment Technical Specifications and Requirement 
The following operating characteristics are requirements for this procurement:

Load Center (L.C.) & Fork Length
The L.C. required is 48”. The Horizontal Load Center is measured from the fork shank face towards the tip of the fork. 96” Standard taper fork is required.
 
Lifting Lugs
Lifting lugs are required to provide secure attachment points for safe lifting.
 
Battery Specs
The forklifts must be equipped with fast charging Lithium-Ion battery.
 
Tire type
Pneumatic (Air)
 
Light
Blue light in both directions is required to alert pedestrians and contributes to a safer working environment.
 
Attachment
For the mounting option, the forklifts should be equipped with a quick attach or quick coupler to attach the steel coil ram. The side shift and fork positioner are independent one to each other.

Termination for Convenience

1. Right to Terminate

    1. Logistec may terminate this Contract, in whole or in part, at any time for its convenience by giving written notice to the Vendor. The termination will be effective on the date stated in the notice.

    2. Vendor’s Duties

    1. When the Vendor receives a termination notice, it shall:
      1. Stop work as specified,
      2. Cancel any subcontracts and purchase orders related to the terminated work,
      3. Protect and preserve any property or materials in which the Port has an interest, and,
      4. Deliver all completed and partially completed equipment, parts, materials, and related documents to Logistec.

    Termination for Cause

    1. Right to Terminate

    1.  Logistec may terminate this Contract, in whole or in part, if the Bidder:
      1. Fails to deliver equipment, materials, or services as specified,
      2. Fails to perform any provision of the Contract, or
      3. Otherwise breaches the Contract in a material way.
    2. Before termination, Logistec will provide written notice describing the failure or breach and allow the Bidder a reasonable period, not less than ten (10) calendar days, to cure the default. If the Bidder does not cure the default within the time allowed, Logistec may terminate the Contract for cause.
